Alloy Wire International manufacture the electrical resistance alloys ‘80/20 Nickel-Chrome’ and ‘45/55 Nickel-Copper’ in round wire and flat wire extensively for the production of a range of resistors.
- Precision wire wound resistors
- Dynamic braking resistors.
- Vitreous enamelled resistors
- Corrugated tape wound resistors
- Fixed or adjustable resistors
- Open wire wound resistors
First introduced into Alloy Wire International’s production over 70 years ago, the 80/20 Nickel-Chrome alloy was developed for use in electric heating elements. Today it is still considered by design engineers as the best electrical resistance wire for electric heating elements, which include anti-condensation heaters.
Our electrical resistance wire is manufactured in all our wire profiles in thicknesses from 0.025mm (.001”) to 10mm (.394”), or to a linear electrical resistance as high as 2130 Ohms/m (650 Ohms/ft).
